 My name is Debra and I've read the story "A Bag Of Oranges". I read it two times to get a better understanding of it. At first the story confused me so I reread it word for word. The story "A Bag Of Oranges" was interesting to me and I like how it connected the middle to the end of the story. I really enjoyed the story.
 My own coming of age experience is when I was 15 and my younger brother who was 9 use to get  Easter baskets on Easter and I wouldn't because my father claimed I was to old for one. I use to get very upset because I believed it wasn't fair that I didn't receive one. Sometimes I would get jealous of my little brother. I finally realize that I shouldn't have reacted that way and I was to old. I also notice Easter wasn't about receiving Easter baskets full of candy. So I mature and just got use to it and let it go so my little brother would enjoy getting baskets before he got to the stage wen my father felt he was to old.
 The theme is "Coming Of Age". In the story  Nikos was embarrassed because his father thought someone tried to steal his oranges so he grabbed a man wrist, then Nikos tried to fight a man over his oranges. Nikos protected his oranges just as well as his father did when he seen his father on the ground.

Do you think video games are harmful? Many people say that video games are harmful to young children while others believe they're enjoyable and they dont cause any harm. Video games brain wash young children and keep them off focus.
 To begin with games that are played by yound children are violent.Games such as "Grand Theft Auto", "Call Of Duty" and "Saints Row" contain guns and foul language. Most children think of these games as enjoyable, but they are brain washing because some kids mimic what they see off the games they play which shows bad behavior.
  Also,video games waste children's time. For example children may spend hours playing video games when they could be doing homework or studying.Once they get into playing the video game it's hard to stop playing due to some wanting to beat high scores or just getting hooked.
  I understand how it feel to play a game you enjoy playing.I play video games when im bored then I get addicted just like the young children who are being brain washed.When I lose I keep playing and promise to stop but I can't because the game hooks me on.
  Therefore video games are violent because they contain foul language and violence so they  are harmful to the youth.Young children should play educational video games that influence them to do good things instead of mimicing bad behaviors they see in the harmful games.
